Hi, I’m Jackie…

I’m an Account Lead here at Social Tribe. I’m currently based in downtown Miami, but I hail from all over the east coast, spending equal amounts of time in NJ, NYC, NC, and South Florida. Unpopular opinion: I love moving and starting over with new people, new cultures, and unfamiliar surroundings. Keeps things interesting.

An Early Interest in Media

Growing up, I wanted to be a meteorologist. I was obsessed with weather and would force my family and friends to watch The Weather Channel multiple times a day (bring back Local On The 8s!). As I got older, I just wanted to work at the news station. It didn’t have to be in front of a green screen per se, but I wouldn’t have hated being an anchorwoman. 

While I didn’t end up pursuing the screen,I did end up becoming the station manager for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s radio station for several years. I built a really solid program and gave students the opportunity to share their voice and their talents with the world (it was an internet radio station so I’m technically not exaggerating!). 

During college, I noticed a huge shift in the digital marketing world and wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to work with big brands doing big things; so, after graduating, I took a job at a marketing agency in Florida and went on to work with awesome brands like Amazon, Spotify, Zappos, JetBlue, Dunkin’ Donuts, Michelin, and Cotton Incorporated. 

A Little Bit of This, a Little Bit of That

Early on in my career, I did a little bit of everything. Public relations, influencer and celebrity marketing, creative direction, UX, client services, social media, digital and print advertising. I couldn’t make up my mind and decided I didn’t want to. So, I turned my focus on integrated marketing – the process of aligning and coordinating a marketing organization to deliver a consistent, seamless, customer-centric content experience across all channels. Pretty fancy huh? That eventually led me to Social Tribe.

Joining the Tribe

I came across a job opening at Social Tribe on LinkedIn and it was love at first sight. Okay, but seriously – it kind of was. I believed in their approach to the digital industry and how they continue to stand at the forefront of the ongoing transformation with open arms. I also believed in the work, getting inspired by the results they deliver for huge companies who are using technology to change lives for the better. As a digital enthusiast, I also couldn’t help but to really appreciate that the company has – and always will be – remote. It just… makes… sense. 

As an Account Lead, I plan on bringing consistent creativity, innovation, energy, data-driven strategy, robust integrated marketing experience and just generally more life to all of my projects.
